Whether or not Riquelme is telling the truth, Florentino Perez is not about to run the risk of calling his bluff and being beaten in similar style to his own Luis Figo move a quarter of a century ago. After already announcing the deals for star defenders Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate, Florentino went on television, too, and said in an interview he is going for a new Galactico in midfield or the attack who is on the level of a Ricardo Kaka, Zinedine Zidane, or Cristiano Ronaldo worth at least 150 million euros.

Arancha does not run with stories that do not have legs to them, and even in this quote, she cages her information by saying it is not totally confirmed but just something she wants to share with the fans so they are updated.
Real Madrid fans would love to have Joao Neves on their team. He is the best pure defensive midfielder in the world, capable of controlling games, scoring great goals, and playing elite defense with hard work just as the legendary Casemiro once did - and Real Madrid miss the Brazilian in his prime a lot more than the average fan may think.
Neves is almost impossible to sign, but with a 150 million euro transfer offer and his super agent Jorge Mendes now back working with Real Madrid after the deal to bring Jose Mourinho back to the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid have a real opening to take Neves away from PSG in their bid to stop a Champions League three peat from matching their own.
