Jude Bellingham has lit up the Estadio Bernabeu ever since arriving at Real Madrid from Borrusia Dortmund in the summer of 2023 for €120 million. His debut season was one to remember, bagging 23 goals and 13 assists in 42 games across competitions.
The English midfielder has already won the Champions League and the La Liga title, becoming a Los Blancos hero in the process. It's been money well spent as the 22-year-old continues to be one of the most important players in Xabi Alonso's Los Blancos team.
But back in his homeland of England there are debates over Bellingham's attitude and whether he deserves to be a starter at the World Cup. He is in a battle for the number 10 role in Thomas Tuchel's team and his biggest rival for the position has been talked up as a possible future Madrid signing.
Premier League star's teammate thinks he's a future Real Madrid star
Real Madrid have used the Premier League to bolster their squad over the years and swooped for Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth in the summer. The Spanish center-back was highly sought-after at the time but opted to move to the Bernabeu instead of joining a top English club.
This season has seen one of England's most exciting attacking talents take his game to a whole new level. Morgan Rogers is driving Aston Villa into the title race, with the Villans six points behind leaders Arsenal after 21 games, level on points with second-placed Manchester City.
Rogers' teammate Ollie Watkins has waxed lyrical about the former City attacking midfielder. He reckons we could one day see him in a Los Blancos jersey (via Sky Sports):

Rogers' red-hot form following a slow start to the season has resulted in eight goals and six assists in 26 games across competitions. He has come up with vital goals including a sensational brace in a 2-1 win over Manchester United.
But the 23-year-old's future was uncertain last summer with reports suggesting interest from top English clubs. GIVEMESPORT sources claimed that Villa placed a £80 million (€92 million) price tag on the versatile attacker.
This led to Arsenal and Chelsea cooling their interest in Rogers and he eventually signed a new long-term deal in November. This keeps him tied to the Midlands club until 2031.
Bellingham is better than Rogers

England are one of the favorites to win the World Cup this summer and that's thanks in part to the exciting pool of attacking talent at Tuchel's disposal. The number 10 position is stacked with options such as Bellingham, Rogers, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, and Arsenal's Eberechi Eze.
But it looks as though Bellingham and Rogers are the two colliding for the position and there's no guarantees that the Madrid man will be a starter in North America. He hasn't been a mainstay in Tuchel's team since the German replaced Gareth Southgate after Euro 2024.
Bellingham is superior to Rogers though given he is thriving on the biggest stage and has already shown he can play a talismanic role for England. He was a standout performer at the 2022 World Cup and the Three Lions wouldn't have made it to the Euro 2024 final if not for his outstanding overhead kick against Slovakia.
The Birmingham-born midfielder is a more physical profile which is a vital asset in an international tournament. He has shown he can even lead the line as he did in his debut Bernabeu campaign but that's not to say that Rogers isn't on the path to becoming a world class superstar.
