Winning is a necessity at Real Madrid and improving is always the objective. As a result, even when things are going well, the club look for ways to get better. That is the reason why Kylian Mbappe was added this summer to a team that had already won the Champions League and La Liga. It has not had the desired effect.

Real Madrid do not seem to be as balanced this season. They are still adjusting to a new system and playing with Mbappe as the focal point up top. Constant injury problems have not helped their cause either.

Real Madrid are expected to stick with the Mbappe route for the time being. But if the results don't improve soon, there are other players whose future at the club might be in question.

As reported by SPORT, Aurelien Tchouameni is the main option to be transferred. The other option, although more remote, is to part ways with Rodrygo.

Real Madrid could let two starters leave the club

Tchouameni arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2022. He looked absolutely brilliant early on but has never really managed to showcase that form ever again.

With Real Madrid having plenty of options in the middle of the park, it is not hard to see why they might be interested in transferring Tchouameni if the situation came to it. There is plenty of interest in him among Premier League clubs and Los Blancos could bring in a significant fee.

On the other hand, with the arrival of Mbappe, Rodrygo's place in the starting XI is in doubt. Do Real Madrid go with a three-man frontline with a forward and two wingers or do they stick with the 4-4-2 diamond that worked like a dream last season? If it is the latter that they prefer, the Brazilian might find himself sitting on the bench more often than not.
