Real Madrid are preparing themselves for a major squad overhaul in the summer. The club is scouring the transfer market for targets across all of the attack, midfield, and defense as they look to revamp their squad off the back of two disappointing trophyless seasons. The club has a number of targets on their list but they are still keeping their ears open, should other clubs offer them the chance to sign their players, and they were just offered one, who won't fix any of the issues at Real Madrid.
As being reported by theMadridZone on X, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic was offered to a top Spanish club, with Atletico Madrid believed not to be that club, narrowing it down to either Real Madrid or Barcelona. The striker is out of contract in the summer, with his agent hoping to secure a move to one of Europe's top clubs as he is expected to depart Juventus in a few weeks time.
Juve's outcast won't solve Real Madrid's issues
While Real Madrid are in the market for a striker this summer, Vlahovic isn't really the kind of player that would bring the big changes the club is looking for. While the Serbian is a solid player, he's not in the upper echelon of the elite level, he's grabbed 57 goals and 15 assists in 141 matches for Juventus since arriving in the 21/22 season which are decent numbers but not the kind that would bring a move to be the starting striker for the biggest club in the world.
The 26-year-old would be a solid option as a backup or rotation kind of player, but that shouldn't be the priority for Los Blancos this summer. They need to look for a real, established target man who can come in and lead the line along side Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, (if they're both still at the club) next season. Players like Victor Osimhen or Julian Alvarez would be better signings for Los Blancos that Vlahovic if they hope to get back to being Europe's best team.
With Real not being the only Spanish side linked with the Serbian and Barcelona also being a team he's been offered to, from the players perspective that move would make more sense, with Lewandowski expected to depart in the summer he could slot right in and work well with Raphinia and Lamine Yamal in the front three.
Despite Vlhaovic being available on a free transfer and Real Madrid's obsession with free transfers over the last few years, a move for the Juventus striker just wouldn't make sense with the direction the club is looking to go under whoever ends up being the new manager once the start of the 26/27 season rolls around.
