Quiet game from Rodrygo against Rayo. He did not have the influence he usually does. His touches were just a tad sloppy, and was not able to register a goal or assist from the right. Was the first man off. Rating: 6
ST Kylian Mbappe
A much-needed - and brilliant - goal from Mbappe to kick things off, but ideally should have had one or two more. First 60 minutes were good from him, but his involvement in the game went down a bit in his last 10 minutes before getting substituted for Eduardo Camavinga. Rating: 7.5
LW Vinicius Jr
A great performance, finally, from Vinicius Jr. Real Madrid have wanted something like this for a little while as he has not been performing up to the standards he has set. But this came at the perfect time. A great outside-of-the-boot assist to Mbappe for the team's first, before scoring his own in a brilliant solo effort to make it two before halftime. Was a menace all match for Rayo Vallecano's defense, and ideally, should have had even more, which would be the only downside of his performance. Easily could've had a hat-trick of assists or goals. This performance comes just before Real Madrid's most important stretch of the season, starting on Wednesday when they travel to the Metropolitano for the second leg of the Champions League. Rating: 8.5
