RB Fede Valverde

One of the few Real Madrid players who played really well. Valverde never disappoints, and even when his teammates were on the way to do that, he kept giving his all out of position. Moved into midfield to create chances, but was not able to find the winner. Incredible penalty, though, and arguably the most important one. Rating: 8

CB Raul Asencio

Was unlucky due to his teammates being out of position in the build up to the Gallagher goal, and arguably could have done better blocking the pass to the Englishman, but apart from that, was great. Put out so many fires in the defensive end due to frailties from his counterparts. Rating: 7.5

CB Antonio Rudiger

A good performance, especially in extra time. A bunch of poor defensive sequences and looked wobbly to start the game. Had one sequence where he had a really bad judgement of the ball bouncing and almost made his team concede another. Rudiger had a few decent interventions, but so far off his standards in the first 90. However, he made amends in the extra time, a game saving interception followed by another match-winning penalty. Rating: 7

LB Ferland Mendy

Poor performance from Mendy. Started off well and had a few decent interventions, but then started struggling in and out of possession. Made a bunch of errors and offered next to nothing offensively. Rating: 5.5
