RW Rodrygo

Rodrygo drifted inwards and towards the left on multiple occasions to get something going, but was not able to provide Real Madrid a lot. He was the least isolated out of the three and constantly dropped into midfield to get something done, but failed to create enough and was subbed off in the 81st minute for Brahim. Rating: 6.5

CF Kylian Mbappe

An absolute ghost in the first half. Offered nothing, and even in the second half, Mbappe was not able to do much because of the way Atletico managed him. He was completely isolated by the home side's defense, though he had a brilliant moment of magic to win the penalty in the second half. Also took a great one in the shootout, showing why he should've taken the one in regulation time as well. Rating: 6

LW Vinicius Jr

Started off in high spirits, but exactly like Mbappe, Vinicius Jr was also isolated for large portions of the game. Had the biggest chance to make Real Madrid level on the night and ahead on the tie, but skied the penalty. Had a few good passes after that, but nothing of note. Subbed off for Endrick before the shootout. Rating: 5.5
