Real Madrid player to return from injury for El Clasico vs Barcelona
Both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona got big wins in the Champions League this week. Carlo Ancelotti's side came from two goals down to win 5-2 against last season's finalists, Borussia Dortmund. Vinicius Jr scored a hattrick. On the other hand, Hansi Flick's team got a 4-1 win over Bayern Munich with Raphinha scoring three goals.
So, when the two teams meet this weekend, it is expected to be a great contest. The first El Clasico of the season has all the makings of a blockbuster.
Real Madrid have been dealing with numerous injuries once again. They will be without key players against FC Barcelona.
But on the other hand, there is some positive news for them as well. It looks like a player could be set to recover ahead of schedule to get into the squad for the El Clasico.
Real Madrid player to return from injury for El Clasico vs Barcelona
The player we are talking about is none other than Brahim Diaz. He is one of the most underrated players at Real Madrid right now, someone capable of making an impact as a starter or off the bench.
He had a goal and an assist to his name this season before getting injured. But as tweeted by Mario Cortegana, Brahim is expected to be included in the squad for El Clasico.
Barcelona are flying high at the moment and might even be slight favourites going into the game. Real Madrid will have home advantage though with it being played at Santiago Bernabeu. They need to make the most of that opportunity.
If Real Madrid win, they will be level on points with Barcelona. Someone like Brahim could help in making that happen. Considering how contrasting the narratives have been around the two teams so far this season, that would certainly be quite funny.
