Real Madrid player ruled out for entire season with ACL injury
Real Madrid might have won 4-0 against Osasuna but they had a lot of worries coming out of the game as well. The injuries continue piling up for Carlo Ancelotti's side and multiple players picked up issues this weekend. And unfortunately, one of them has been ruled out for the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign.
It was just last season that Eder Militao had suffered an ACL injury. He recovered faster than expected and was back on the pitch by the end of the season.
Unfortunately, the Brazilian has suffered another ACL injury. And this time around, he is expected to remain out for the entirety of the campaign.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Militao's season is over as the Brazilian centre-back suffered an ACL injury. He could be out for 9 months.
Real Madrid player ruled out for entire season with ACL injury
This is not good news for Real Madrid by any means. For Militao to suffer two injuries of this magnitude in back-to-back seasons, one has to seriously doubt whether he will ever be the same player again.
Of course, one has to take a deep look at Real Madrid's injury problems. Yes, players from other clubs get injured as well but the frequency seems to be a lot higher when it comes to the Spanish giants.
Rodrygo and Lucas Vazquez were injured as well. The Brazilian international is set to be out for more than a month with a muscle injury while the Spaniard will miss around three weeks of action.
Real Madrid were already very light on options at centre-back. Nacho Fernandez left in the summer but a replacement was not brought in as they missed out on Leny Yoro to Manchester United. Now, with Militao out for the season, Los Blancos must sign a player in that position.
