Real Madrid have won six of their first six games in the new season. Five wins in La Liga and a win in the Champions League puts them in a good position at the start of Xabi Alonso's tenure.
Obviously, anything can happen in football, but so far, so good from Los Blancos.
They play Levante away from home next - on Tuesday - and while it is an important game, the one after will be more important for Alonso and his men, and because of that, maybe Real Madrid will rotate more than usual.
Here is the predicted lineup for Real Madrid's midweek trip to Levante.
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
Best goalkeeper in the world. Only two goals conceded in the league so far. Has to start. Andriy Lunin will play at some point, I am sure of it, but Courtois needs to keep starting until the team is really able to get the hang of Alonso's system.
Right-back: Dani Carvajal
Real Madrid do not have any more options at right-back anymore. Trent Alexander-Arnold is injured, meaning this is the only right-back they can start. Not a bad option at all, to be fair. Carvajal starts.
Centre-back: Raúl Asencio
Asencio played well against Espanyol on the weekend in his preferred position on the right. He looks like he has let go of the demons of the Club World Cup. He should start so that Éder Militão gets plenty of rest for the big game against Atletico on the weekend.
Centre-back: Dean Huijsen
Huijsen returns to the lineup after a hideous red card decision kept him out of the game against Espanyol. He is one of the first names on the starting lineup every time, expect that to continue against Levante as well.
Left-back: Fran García
I know Alonso said there "will be a time" where Carreras is rested and rotated, but I actually think that might be on Tuesday. Carreras has played every single minute of La Liga and the Champions League so far, and I think that purely to see him rest a bit for the Atletico game, Alonso will play García instead of him.
DM: Aurélien Tchouaméni
Tchouaméni needs to start as much as possible as he is one of Real Madrid's most important players. Eduardo Camavinga is back from injury, but it is still too early for him to play a full match. Tchouaméni will start this one.
CM: Dani Ceballos
Fede Valverde gets some rest before the game against Atletico. Ceballos has impressed every time he has played for Real Madrid this season, and he will play 50-60 minutes once again before getting subbed off for one of Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga.
CM: Arda Güler
Güler will return to the starting XI after missing out on it in the game against Espanyol over the weekend. He is important to this Real Madrid side, and Alonso will also not take any risks with Bellingham just yet.
RW: Franco Mastantuono
Mastantuono played well against Espanyol over the weekend, and Alonso will try to keep him in the lineup once again so that he is able to build on his good form. Expect Brahim to come off the bench in the second half, though.
CF: Kylian Mbappé
The best player in the world starts. He has scored so many goals already, and he will hope to continue to do so by starting another game.
LW: Vinícius Jr
Vinícius Jr will start against Levante on Tuesday, in the hopes that he is able to make Alonso look silly for subbing him off against Espanyol. Alonso would not be silly either way, but I assume that is the energy with which Vinícius Jr will enter the pitch.
