Real Madrid midfielder Thiago Pitarch will play for Castilla during the international break, according to a report from Marca. Pitarch has not played a single minute for Real Madrid this season because he has been recovering from an injury that he picked up before the season started.
It has been a long time since fans have seen him play, and hopefully, within the next three or four weeks, fans can see him play for the first team because someone of his profile is definitely needed at the club.
If fans still want to watch him play, they can still watch Castilla matches if they want to. That will happen because Castilla will still be playing during the international break, and it is expected that Pitarch will get quality game time for those games.
How many minutes he will play is yet to be determined, but since he would be Castilla's best midfielder by definition and he has been fit for a couple of weeks now, there is no reason for him to not start at least one of Castilla’s three games in these few weeks.

After that, the expectation and the hope from Real Madrid fans would be to see Pitarch play for the first team, because right now, the only profiles that are even remotely close to the profile that Real Madrid needed to reinforce this summer are Bernardo and Pitarch. The latter is nowhere near the quality of Silva at the moment, but having an extra man there and giving him a chance to show how much he has developed over the course of the last few months would be really important.
Pitarch showed a lot of great flashes of brilliance playing for the first team, but he also showed some actions that made fans think that he might not be mature enough to play for them yet.
However, these experiences are what make you a player worthy of wearing the jersey, and hopefully, Pitarch has been able to account for that in the best possible way. When he played for one of Spain's youth teams a few months ago, he was unrecognisable from the player who went to that tournament from Real Madrid. Hopefully, that is the case for him at the club as well.
It remains to be seen how well he is able to adjust to life playing for the first team after he comes back, but this mini preseason of sorts would be hugely beneficial for the Spaniard.
