Following the sacking of Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid aren't quite in crisis mode yet but they're getting very close. Not only are there questions swirling surrounding who the next manager will be, but also questions about the futures of a number of players after the change of coach.

When Alonso first arrived, he brought a completely new philosophy from Carlo Ancelotti, which meant different players were used more than they had been under Ancelotti. But now that the Spaniard is gone, what's next for these players is unknown and what their role is now or even if their future is still at Madrid.

One of these players is Eduardo Camavinga. Despite some injury struggles to start the season, the Frenchman was one of the key players in Alonso's system, partnering Aurelien Tchouameni in the midfield. But now that the Spaniard is gone, what his role in the team is under Alvaro Arbeloa or whoever the next permanent manager is remains unknown.

The 23-year-old is under contract at Los Blancos until 2029 and has always been a target of the Premier League and with all the drama and uncertainty at Madrid, one English side is looking to swoop in and snatch the midfielder away from the Estadio Bernabeu.

Real Madrid star wanted by Liverpool

As reported by Defensa Central, Liverpool are eyeing a move for Eduardo Camavinga following the departure of Alonso, which leaves his future up in the air ahead of a permanent managerial appointment in the summer.

Camavinga has dealt with injury issues in the past but when he is fit, he shows his class and what he brings to the team, every time he plays. He has shown his ability to play defensive midfield, a more attacking midfield position and even left-back when called upon and is the type of Swiss Army Knife player every squad needs, and Liverpool view him as the solution to their current struggles.

The defending Premier League champions have been far from their best after winning the title last season and are looking for any solution they can find to get back to their best. After spending an incredible €500 million in the summer, they are already looking at their next big money signing.

Camavinga is easily a €100+ million player, but rumors suggest Madrid would consider offers of around €60 million for the midfielder which frankly isn't the smartest move by the club. Despite Alonso's departure, Camavinga should remain a key player for Los Blancos and should not be sold under any circumstances.
