There are three days remaining in this transfer window, but the buzz around Real Madrid shows no signs of slowing just yet.
Even after Los Blancos signed four world-class players and sold some of their brightest academy gems to top clubs, the news cycle refuses to calm down. It hasn’t simply satiated yet.
This is a squad of superstars, built with some of the best players in the world, so naturally every club is watching closely. They all have eyes set on Real Madrid. The moment a player loses importance in the Spanish capital, interest begins to rise elsewhere.
Take Rodrygo, for example. Ever since his situation has changed and he has ceased to be as important, Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City continue to monitor his situation, and a late twist in the coming days cannot be ruled out.
Arsenal were once the most interested but they have seemingly pulled out late into the window.
Real Madrid reject shocking Premier League approach for star midfielder
Now, another name has emerged. According to Defensa Central, an unnamed Premier League club, through an intermediary, enquired about the availability of Aurelien Tchouameni. Real Madrid’s response was clear: absolutely no chance.
The name of the club is not found since the approach was not made directly.
And rejecting such an approach is, in my opinion, the best decision for the club.
Tchouameni has quickly become the heartbeat of this midfield. His contributions might not always stand out on the scoresheet, but they are unmatched and irreplaceable.
For Xabi Alonso, he has grown so vital that he essentially acts as his eyes and voice on the pitch.
It is often clear during cooling breaks that Alonso spends significant time speaking directly with Tchouameni. He is the one who translates the manager’s blueprint into execution on the field.
That alone is reason enough for him to stay. Tchouameni is both the present and the future of Real Madrid, and selling him at this point would be unthinkable.
