This coming summer transfer window is one of the biggest in recent years at Real Madrid. The club are hoping to make a number of marquee signings to bounce back following back-to-back trophyless seasons. One player who seems set to play a major role in those transfer plans is Endrick. The decision has been made by the hierarchy that Endrick will return in the summer following his successful loan spell at Lyon, and according to the newest reports, the club has major ambitions in place for Endrick next season.
As being reported by MadridXtra on X, Real Madrid plan to use Endrick as a right-winger next season and play the Brazilian along side Vinicius Jr on the left and Kylian Mbappe through the middle. The club want him to have a big role next season and believe he will be the missing piece to create the next dominant front three at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid's dream will turn out to be a nightmare
Real Madrid has long been a club that usually has one of if not the most lethal attacking line in Europe. The front three of Bale, Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest front three's in history that dominated Europe for nearly half a decade. However in recent years we've seen Real Madrid fall behind the rest of the pack with teams like PSG and Bayern Munich leapfrogging Los Blancos with their attacking lines and that has been one of the main reasons Real have fallen behind these last few seasons.
As a result the club are planning to build their new front three of the future of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Endrick, and on paper that sounds like it would compete with the likes of PSG and Bayern's but in reality the odds are that's not the case and there are a few reasons why.
First positionally, the front three would consist of two left-wingers and one out and out striker, two of which would be playing out of their natural positions. Mbappe is a left-winger playing through the middle and Endrick is a natural striker that would be playing one the right wing and we have seen many times before that playing people out of their natural positions and hoping they addapt doesn't work and that would be the same with the clubs planned front three. Mbappe isn't comfortable or at his best playing in the middle and the same can be said about Endrick playing on the right, and if they were to then swap Endrick and Mbappe with the Frenchman then playing on the right, he would still be out of hist natural position and not at his best, it's a double ended sword no matter how Real Madrid line the three attackers up.
Figuring out how to lineup the attack will be a tall task for whoever it is Real Madrid decides to bring in as their next manager and at the moment it seems almost unsolvable. Forcing all the big name attackers into one team and hoping they'll gel won't work out in the grand scheme of things as there has to be a balance among egos and talent, and with these current players, no matter how you line them up there will always be some sort of issue that arises, so it's safe to say that while good on paper, this attacking plan will turn out to be a disater in reality.
