A new milestone is seemingly always in reach for Real Madrid and the club recently hit a new one with a landmark goal midweek.

Real Madrid score landmark goal in Copa del Rey thriller vs Real Sociedad

Real Madrid reached a historic milestone in their 4-4 draw in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad when Aurelien Tchouameni scored the club's 10,000th goal.

The Santiago Bernabeu crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when the full time whistle blew in their second leg clash against Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey semi-final. Antonio Rudiger's 115th minute equalizer saw Real Madrid advance 5-4 on aggregate to the Copa del Rey final where they are set to clash with rivals Barcelona. However, lost amongst the chaos of the night was a historic landmark for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid became one of few clubs to reach the 10,000 goal mark when unlikely goalscorer Aurelien Tchouameni fired in a header in the 86th minute putting his name in the Real Madrid history books. In a piece of personal accomplishment for Tchouameni the goal also marked his first Real Madrid goal at the Bernabeu.

The last time Real Madrid hit a thousand goal landmark was when Gareth Bale scored the club's 9,000th goal in 2017. With the plethora of attacking talent available at Real Madrid who will be part of the club for the long term, who will score the club's 11,000th goal in probably nine year's time is anyone's guess.
