Real Madrid's signings as of late have worked wonderfully well. They have signed so many good players who are athletic and versatile enough to fill multiple positions. So many of them have been an absolute joy to watch, and it makes Real Madrid fans happy.

One of them - and probably one of the best - is Jude Bellingham. Bellingham joined the club in 2023, and has not looked back since. The Englishman has easily been one of Real Madrid's best players since joining the club, and has become a full-fledged superstar for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid want players who are of his quality or better, and having players like him in other positions would give them a much better chance of winning every possible title there is to win.

The club certainly feels that there is one defender who gives them the vibe of the Englishman.

Real Madrid look at William Saliba as the 'Jude Bellingham of defenders', according to Fabrizio Romano

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano talked about William Saliba and how important he is to Arsenal. At Real Madrid, they look at him as a great player, and internally refer to him as the 'Jude Bellingham' of defenders. They absolutely love him.

However, the Italian journalist also said that it is very unlikely that the defender leaves the North London club in the summer.

Saliba has been on record multiple times in the past about being very happy at his current club. Even though Real Madrid have a lot of pull when it comes to transfers like this, it is very clear that Saliba wants to win some silverware with Arsenal before leaving the club.

His current contract expires in 2027, though, and Real Madrid could go for him in the summer of 2026 if they want to get him for a reduced fee. They might even try to sign him as a free agent in 2027 if the Frenchman does not sign an extension until then.

Obviously, this is just my opinion, but it feels like something Real Madrid would do. It just depends on what Saliba decides to do in the future.
