Real Madrid have not seen any major exits this summer apart from a few from Castilla, but the transfer window has been active nonetheless.
Yet the fact that not many players have left does not mean all are in a healthy position. At least two names are in unfavourable circumstances and could be on their way out if things do not improve before the end of the month.
Dani Ceballos is one such player who might leave, but only if Real Betis meet the asking price.
The second is Rodrygo, who has not enjoyed much promise under Xabi Alonso, making his situation increasingly uncertain.
Real Madrid star asks agents to find new club
According to The Athletic, Rodrygo has instructed his agents Pini Zahavi and Kia Joorabchian to explore the possibility of a transfer to a new destination.
This marks a significant shift from his earlier stance, where both he and his camp were committed to staying at Real Madrid and not entertaining offers elsewhere.
Per the report, the player is now seriously considering an exit, which seems the right move given how few minutes he is receiving and the lack of a guaranteed role he once enjoyed.
Reports earlier this week also suggested that Rodrygo’s agents were in the United Kingdom to meet representatives of Manchester City and Liverpool regarding potential transfers.
Rodrygo has always been a player admired in the Premier League. Arsenal, Liverpool, and more recently Manchester City have all explored the possibility of signing him, though Arsenal appear to have pulled out of the race.
From a sporting perspective, a move elsewhere may be in Rodrygo’s best interest.
Manchester City plan to pursue him only if Savinho departs for Tottenham Hotspur, a transfer already complicated and reportedly blocked by City.
Liverpool’s level of interest remains unclear, but the fact that meetings have taken place suggests there is substance to it.
The coming days will be crucial in determining Rodrygo’s future.
