Real Madrid have had it difficult in the last couple of years. There have been multiple reports about the squad not being happy. There have been locker room bust-ups. There have been so many things that you just would not want to have in a dressing room as big as Real Madrid, but there have been some like that. There have been some of the reported ones that just do not make the most amount of sense.
Real Madrid have some of the biggest superstars in world football. Because of that, the reports about ego clashes, bruised egos, and so many other things have come to light or have been reported in the last couple of years. It sometimes just does not make the slightest bit of sense: from fan fiction like Jude Bellingham not liking Kylian Mbappé to Vinicius Junior's jealousy of the Frenchman.
There have been so many things that are either reported by the media or conspired by the fans, and now, after everything is working out kind of well under Jose Mourinho, those things are just not being reported.
Real Madrid players do not have to be best friends in order to function like a team
In fact, even if they were being reported, Real Madrid players probably do not care about it. It is obvious that these things are reported many times just to get the traffic going on websites and for people to have a conversation on social media. The truth is, they're probably looking at these things and laughing about it together.
There are so many people talking about Bellingham not liking Mbappé. Now that Real Madrid have beaten Barcelona and are looking much better than the team they were a few weeks ago, no one will really care about it too much. The truth is, this is a professional setting. Real Madrid obviously need to have chemistry on the pitch and off the pitch, but they do not have to be best friends with each other to make it work.
Every time someone mentions things like this, Cristiano Ronaldo's quote about his teammates comes to mind. He always used to talk about how he does not have to have dinner with his teammates to be able to have good chemistry with them. All he needs to do is make sure they work together towards the same goal and win titles. That essentially is what this Real Madrid squad should be doing as well.
People love talking about dramatic things like this, but the truth is, at the end of the day, it is just a business, and all these players know that. That is not to say things have not turned sour in the past. Of course they have, but when things are going really well, it is quite easy to forget that things were at one point quite bad.
Even when they are bad, sometimes media and fans just make it into something that is worse than it is, and that also creates a very negative environment around the club, which is not something that any of the players or the fans want.
Hopefully, the situation remains good among these players because when they are at their best and when they are working well together, there are not many teams that can beat them. Hopefully, they remain at that point from now until the end of time.
