Real Madrid need a new permanent manager as Alvaro Arbeloa has proved he doesn't have the makings of a full-time Los Blancos boss. That was none so more apparent than his side's dissapointing 1-0 defeat at home to Getafe last night.
Jurgen Klopp has been the favorite to become Xabi Alonso's permanent replacement once the season concludes. The former Liverpool boss has downplayed suggestions he is open to taking charge of the La Liga giants but various reports claim he does have a desire to enter the Bernabeu dugout.
Klopp could leave Red Bull
The German coach is currently Head of Global Soccer with Red Bull but he might soon leave his role. A report from L'Equipe claims that there are issues growing between Klopp and executives and this could lead to his departure.

Klopp could even leave his role as early as this summer and he is increasingly keen on a return to management. He has been out of the coaching world since the end of the 2023-24 when he called time on a nine-year reign at Liverpool.
Madrid have always been admirers of Klopp and Florentino Perez is a fan who watched him become a huge success at Anfield. He led the Reds to their first league title in 30 years along with the Champions League.
Real Madrid's best solution
Klopp is ideal for Madrid given his reputation in the game and his track record of success, guiding teams out of a difficult period. He took over a Liverpool side struggling to stay in the Premier League's top four race and transformed them into one of Europe's most dominant teams.
The German's time away from the touchline could be a massive benefit as he will be refreshed and ready to prove he remains one of Europe's greatest tacticians. It's vital that if he is appointed that he is given control, something the board were reluctant to hand to Xabi Alonso.
A decision over a permanent manager will come at the end of the season and it seems certain that Arbeloa won't be kept on. His side's loss to Getafe last night means they trail Barcelona by four points in the La Liga title race.
Los Blancos are through to the last 16 of the Champions League but are underdogs in their tie against Manchester City. Reports claim that the board have "doubts" over Arbeloa who replaced Alonso on a caretaker basis in early January.
