Real Madrid face Barcelona in a mouthwatering clash on Sunday night, with a lot on the line for the away side. If they lose - which is very much possible - they will be nine points behind the league leaders, which is not something that anyone at the club wanted to happen at all, let alone as early as October.

It remains to be seen what ends up happening during the match, but a lot more is on the line for this Real Madrid team than for their arch-rivals.

As for injuries, both teams are missing players. Real Madrid have all but three of their players back, while Barcelona are still missing quite a few. Here is the injury report for the Clasico.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona early injury news as 7 injured and 1 doubt

Rodrygo - out

Rodrygo had an ACL injury which ruled him out for most of 2026 in March, and although the player is getting close to returning from the injury, nothing will change before the Clasico.

Raul Asencio - out

The Spanish defender had a surgery on his right leg, ruling him out until at least December. Real Madrid fans have not seen him play for a very long time, and the player will remain out for the foreseeable future.

Dani Olmo - out

Olmo got injured during the match against Paris Saint-Germain during the week, and he will be out until November. Luckily for Barcelona, they still have a great player in Fermin Lopez to take his place.

Ferland Mendy - out

Mendy has been out for a very long time due to an injury he picked up last season, and although he is still the closest to return out of all three injured Real Madrid players, he will not be featuring in the Clasico. He is expected to return in a couple of weeks, according to Transfermarkt.

Jules Kounde - doubt

Jules Kounde suffered an ankle sprain a few weeks ago, but could make his return to Barcelona's squad for the game against Real Madrid. It is not yet confirmed, but the player is supposed to return around this time. According to Mundo Deportivo, it is unlikely he makes it, but his availability, according to Barcelona, would be re-evaluated on the day.

Roony Bardghji - out

Roony remains out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Andreas Christensen - out

Christensen will also likely be out for the game against Real Madrid, with his return timetabled for sometime during November - due to a muscle injury.

Eric Garcia - out

Eric Garcia was ruled out of the PSG and Real Madrid games earlier this week, as Barcelona reported the player would be out for three to four weeks.
