Real Madrid play Rayo Vallecano in their sixth match of the season, and hope to get back to winning ways in La Liga after a surprising 1-0 loss to Real Betis last week.
Real Madrid have been able to recover a couple of players in the last few days, but a couple of them remain doubtful as to how many minutes they will be able to play in the game against Rayo on Saturday.
Four are ruled out completely, we have included the entire list of absentees for the clash.
Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano injury news as 3 ruled out and 4 return for La Liga action
Out: Rodrygo
The Brazilian winger will remain out of contention for any game involvement until 2027 as he ruptured his ACL earlier this year. Rodrygo is still recovering at Valdebebas, and would not be playing any time soon.
Out: Eder Militao
Militao is finally working on the grass, and while his return is much, much closer than his Brazilian counterpart, Jose Mourinho has not included him in the squad. The hope would be for the defender to return to the team after the extended international break in October, from which point on Militao would slowly be integrated into the team.
Return: Endrick
Endrick has been included in the Real Madrid squad for the second time in a row on Friday. He was among the 23 players who were at the Bernabeu for the game against Inter on Tuesday, and will now once again be in contention to play.
Mourinho did say that Endrick would have played five to 10 minutes at most, and he did not end up playing. Maybe this would be the game where the Portuguese manager eases him in, but it is still not confirmed.
Return: Raul Asencio
Asencio has only played eight games for Real Madrid since February, and while he has been included in the squad to face Rayo Vallecano, him making his season debut would depend on a lot of game factors. He started training with the team recently, and being in the squad is already a huge bonus, but it will depend on Real Madrid being comfortably ahead, if Asencio is to get any minutes on the pitch. It is not confirmed whether he is going to feature.
Return: Aurelien Tchouameni
Tchouameni featured for Real Madrid during the win over Inter, and will be in the squad for a La Liga match for the first time under Jose Mourinho.
Return: Thiago Pitarch
Thiago was also included in the squad for the match against Inter, but like Endrick, he did not feature for a single minute. He could feature in La Liga for the first time this season, and the hope would be for him to finally make his return.
Out: Ferland Mendy
Mendy will remain out for the foreseeable future.
