Real Madrid face Real Sociedad in their second match of the new La Liga campaign on Wednesday. It will also be the first game for Los Blancos at the Bernabeu this season - which would also mark the first time Jose Mourinho returns to the team's home ground in over 13 years.
Real Madrid won the first mamtch of the season against Espanyol, and despite the victory, Mourinho would want a better display from the boys next time around.
It is only the start of the season, but Mourinho might make a few adjustments here and there, so that he is able to start his best team as soon as possible.
Here is the predicted line-up for the match against La Real.
GK Thibaut Courtois
A no-brainer. Courtois conceded a goal against Espanyol, but was largely solid throughout the match. Expect him to keep his place for as long as he is fit.
RB Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent was surprisingly benched for the first game of the season, with Denzel Dumfries taking his place. Dumfries looked good, but there were many points where the team missed Trent's profile. He will take his place in the line-up on Wednesday night.
CB Ibrahima Konate
Konate had an amazing debut for Real Madrid on Saturday, with some brilliant, aggressive defending and vital interventions. Expect him to hold his place and his ground against La Real on Wednesday at the Bernabeu as well.
CB Dean Huijsen
Huijsen looked quite good in the pre-season as well as the first game of the season. It seems like the partnership he has with Konate is working well, which is why he would keep his place in the XI.
LB Marc Cucurella
Cucurella was on the bench for Real Madrid during the game against Espanyol - but he could make his first official start for the club on Wednesday, despite Alvaro Carreras' brilliant showing in the first game.
DM Bernardo Silva
Silva's ball progression and retention will keep helping Real Madrid, and he should keep his place in the XI, especially with the rest of the roster looking quite weak at what the Portuguese midfielder is able to provide.
DM Fede Valverde
Valverde is a workhorse, and he will keep his place in the XI because of what he provides. He needs to be more careful, though - a few more mistakes like the one leading to Espanyol scoring would see him being close to the bench.
AM Jude Bellingham
Bellingham was amazing in his first game back for the club. He looked like he was in mid-season form and also scored a goal. He will keep his place.
RW Yan Diomande
Diomande had a few rough duels on Saturday, but he will probably get his first start for the club on Wednesday to try and harmonise him with the rest of the team as quickly as possible.
LW Vinicius Jr
Despite a horrible showing from the Brazilian, Vinicius Jr is expected to keep his place in the starting XI so that he is able to catch up with the rest of the squad and reach peak fitness levels as soon as possible. He would definitely need to improve his actual football, as well.
CF Kylian Mbappe
Mbappe couldn't score despite taking 10 shots on goal, but he looked much sharper and fresher than his Brazilian teammate. Despite Carlos Espi already appearing on the scoresheet, Mbappe should keep his place in the XI.
