Real Madrid have been quite the headline makers these last few weeks. After a blazing hot start to the season the club have slipped recently, dropping three straight results, in for lack of a better word embarrassing fashion.

A 1-0 loss to Liverpool in the Champions League was followed by back to back draws in La Liga, a 0-0 with Rayo Vallecano and 2-2 with Elche, with the draws dropping Real's five point gap at the top of La Liga down to just one.

Whether it's team selection, tactical setup, or lack of in game adaption, many are starting to believe cracks are forming in the new Xabi Alonso regime. Reports of fractures in the locker room surrounding Alonso and his plans have come out in the recent days, which leaves many wondering what is his future at the club?

Usually, these kinds of reports are over-exaggerated and get people to make impulsive decisions. The combination of the reports of fractures in the locker room and the recent dip in form has many calling for Xabi Alonso to lose his job and the club to bring someone new in.

Many believe this could be a very realistic possibility; however, from the club's perspective, that is not happening any time soon.

Real Madrid has certainly made its mind up on Xabi Alonso's future

As reported by Marca, despite all the rumors surrounding the future of Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid, their message is clear: Xabi Alonso is the leader of the project and above the players, and they support all of his decisions, and the manager has complete confidence from the club.

While yes, the recent results have been disappointing, this is something that comes with a new manager in his first year at a new club. Not everything is going to be smooth sailing; there's going to be difficult times, and unfortunately, we are in one of those difficult times, but Xabi Alonso will no doubt get the team back to where they were at the start of the season.

Sacking Xabi Alonso off the back of three bad games would be quite the drastic decision by the club. We can't forget all that he's done so far this season. He brought players like Kylian Mbappe and Eder Militao back to their best form and has shown a new style of football compared to the dying days of the Carlo Ancelotti regime.

Real Madrid will no doubt be back to their best soon, and Xabi Alonso will be the man who brings them their. Although the last few games have been disappointing, fans have to stick together and back the manager and believe in his project, especially through the hard times.
