Following the disastrous back-to-back trophyless seasons, sweeping changes are expected to take place under new manager Jose Mourinho. The club has already confirmed a number of new arrivals and are still working on others, however just as important as new arrivals are departures. The club has a number of players who are 'dead weight' for the most part and they need to find a way to get rid of them in order to make room for the new signings, and it seems the club has already started working to get rid of three players.

As being reported by MadridXtra on X, Real Madrid are working on the exits of Raul Asencio, Fran Garcia, and Dani Ceballos with the club believing they are surplus players in the squad who won't have a place following all the new arrivals this summer and as a result the club can afford to let them leave for the next step of their careers.

For what it's worth all three of Asencio, Ceballos, and Fran Garcia have done their part when called on and been loyal servants to the club, but now is without a doubt the right time for them to depart. With the arrivals of Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva, and Marc Cucurella all three will be losing their spots in the team and will most likely fall to being the third or even fourth choice in their position, so keeping and paying them to pretty much do nothing wouldn't be a smart call from Real Madrid.

For Asencio, with the arrival of Konate he'll now fall behind the Frenchman, Dean Huijsen, and Antonio Rudiger in the pecking order, not to mention Real are considering bringing in another central defender this summer, so he could end up being the fifth choice center-back. With Ceballos he'll be sitting behind the aforementioned newly arriving Bernardo Silva as well as Arda Guler and Jude Bellingham, and Fran Garcia will effectively be the fourth choice left-back behind Cucurella, Alvaro Carreras, and even Ferland Mendy who is currently injured.

Where exactly the three wild end up remains unknown at this time but each of them has had their fair share of links. Asencio has been linked with a potential move to Besiktas in Turkey, Ceballos with Ajax or Real Betis, and Fran Garcia has also been linked with a move to Betis as well as a potential move to Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Real Madrid will surely try to get some money with these departures, with both Garcia and Asencio possibly being available for around €10 million, whereas Ceballos has been told he can leave as a free transfer should he find a suitor. Real Madrid are ushering in a new era this summer, and that has never been more evident both with the number of new arrivals expected as well as these departures of loyal players.
