Real Madrid face Roma in the Champions League in the hopes of continuing their perfect run in the competition after a win over another Italian team in Inter a few weeks ago.
This Roma side is going to be a difficult game because their form this season has been fantastic. They currently sit at the top of the Serie A table, which is why Real Madrid will have to bring their best team as well as their best performance on the night in Rome.
They will be missing a few players, however, due to long-term injuries, and that alone will impact them quite heavily as some of these players could have been very useful for Real Madrid.
Here is the injury report for the match:
Roma vs Real Madrid early injury report as 4 players miss out huge Chamions League clash
Eder Militao - out
Even though the Brazilian central defender is the closest to returning to full-time action for Real Madrid, he will miss the game against Roma on Wednesday night. He is still recovering from a muscle issue that has kept him out for several months, and even though he is returning in just a few more weeks, he will absolutely not be available on Wednesday – Jose Mourinho confirmed that before Villarreal.
Ferland Mendy - out
Mendy is also relatively close to making his return to the first team after a lengthy injury lay-off that has kept him out for a number of months. He is farther away than his Brazilian teammate, Militao, but it is reported that he can return in the next few weeks. When it actually ends up happening, though, remains to be seen.
Raul Asencio - out
Asencio has not played a single minute since the start of the season due to an injury in his right leg, for which he has now undergone surgery. He will be out until at least December, and given the amount of injuries and suspensions this position has seen already, this will be a really difficult loss, no matter how good or bad fans think Asencio is, and whether they want him to leave or stay.
Rodrygo - out
Rodrygo is still recovering from his ACL injury, which is going to keep him out for a few more weeks. It was a difficult injury to process, but the tough part is over for Rodrygo, who is slowly getting close to full fitness. He will be unavailable against Roma, but not for too long.
