Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham is having a World Cup for the ages in every respect. Just as he does for Madrid, Bellingham is doing it all on the world stage in the midfield for the Three Lions, and it does not matter where Tommy Tuchel plays this young man. As a 10 or an 8, Bellingham is exemplary. He scores goals, creates chances, carries the ball progressively into the attack, wins his duels, and even defends in the box.
It is ridiculous and totally laughable to think that Tuchel and members of the English media - mostly a few unreliable journalists who have held their jobs for years and think they are above reproach - have either thought about or outright said that Bellingham is not a sure fire starter for the Three Lions.
Madridistas and England fans themselves have been saying for years that Jude is essential to World Cup success and one of the two faces of the organization next to Harry Kane, and, lo and behld, the 2024 European Championship hero has been as they advertised.
Jude Bellingham is determined to win
Former Manchester United legend Roy Keane was an Ireland international, and he is not afraid to tell it like it is if he thinks someone is full of it - and that went for his teammates back in the day, too, even the friendly Peter Schmeichel at one point.
But Keane-o loves him some Jude Bellingham. Speaking on the popular The Overlap podcast, Keane waxed poetic on Bellingham after Gary Neville brought up the topic of the England No. 10. The former star defensive midfielder said, via Madrid Xtra, "Yes, Jude is world class. He's doing it in the big games. He has this presence about him. When he scores, he does the 'Who else?' celebration. The kid is doing great. If England are to keep going on in this tournament, they need Kane and Jude. In England's camp, they must be going 'We know Kane and Jude will get us over the line, and we'll all be the water carriers for them.'"
Not to overuse an Internet term, but Bellingham really is one of those precious few footballers for whom the word "aura" applies 100 percent. The man is a future England captain and going to be one of the greatest of all time, and even though he does not have the same grace, he does have a little bit of that class and a lot of that clutchness that his idol Madrid No. 5 Zinedine Zidane did. Beligol is here to stay, and the world is falling in love with his quality and determination to win.
