Another Serie A star is making Real Madrid look foolish and its not Nico Paz

One of the major issues with Real Madrid in their history is their development of young talent. It's not that Real Madrid Castilla is short of extremely talented players, the managers just struggle to find a plan for using the youngsters in their squad which often results in youngsters being sent out on loan or sold elsewhere to player their football and develop as players, before potentially returning to Los Blancos.

One Madrid youngster who's followed this formula and is thriving is Nico Paz. The midfielder is arguably the best player in Serie A this season, lighting it up for Como with nine goals and six assists in 25 matches so far. He's finally gotten a chance to show his full talent, and that looks to have convinced the club to use the buy-back option in his contract this coming summer.

The Argentine isn't the only former Madrid youngster thriving at Como right now, Jacobo Ramon is another who is playing his football for the Italian side, and he is showing Los Blancos exactly what they're missing and they desperately need a defender like him right now.

The Madrid born defender has scored two goals for Como so far this season, and is sixth in duels won by defenders in Serie A with 112 and that number would put him third in the current Real Madrid squad, more than any defender Los Blancos currently have.

Real sold Ramon to Como for €2.5 million last summer, but with all the injuries in the backline as well as defenders struggling for form, Madrid now looks somewhat silly for letting Ramon leave when they could really use him right now.

But with the January window now closed, any move for the defender to return would have to wait till the summer, and by then, a number of other top European teams, mostly from the Premier League are expected to be interested in the 21-year-old.

Thankfully for Madrid, they retain an €8 million buy-back clause for Ramon and have first dibs at his signing, hopefully putting to rest any worries they have about missing out on the defender to someone else. It's all but confirmed that his Como teammate Paz will be returning to Los Blancos this summer, and with his current form, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if Ramon joins him after just one year on loan.
