Real Madrid president Florentino Perez told the whole world that he is after a Galactic player and will bid 150 million euros for a transfer on the level of Cristiano Ronaldo or Zinedine Zidane, and while he denied that Bayern Munich superstar right winger Michael Olise is this player, virtually every transfer insider or journalist somewhat plugged in to Madrid thinks he is talking about the Frenchman, his new obsession after watching him carve up Real in the Champions League knockouts this year.

Olise will be hard to get, and he isn't even the only ambitious name Florentino is after. Despite already bringing in world class defenders Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate, Perez is still after more splash signings for the Royal Whites and new manager Jose Mourinho.

According to a report from Alberto Pereiro of Onda Cero, via the Madrid Zone, the Real Madrid president has three more blockbuster moves in mind in addition to the Michael Olise swoop from Bayern Munich.

Florentino Perez has expanded his horizons beyond forwards

Perez reportedly wants to bring in Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol, West Ham United breakout youngster Mateus Fernandes in the middle of the park, and then the crown jewel of them all, PSG's world class defensive midfielder Joao Neves.

While Neves is almost impossible after winning his second straight Champions League title for a PSG side that is loathe to negotiate with the Madridistas, Fernandes is a much more achievable Portuguese international to target.

Signing a player from West Ham after their relegation is even wilder than signing Spanish international Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth, who actually just qualified for European football last season, but if Fernandes can play as well as he did for a dysfunctional Hammers side, then maybe he is even more special than expected.

Out of these three players, though, Josko Gvardiol is probably the one Real Madrid fans want to see the most. Not only is he a proven superstar for one of the biggest clubs in the world in Champions League rivals Manchester City, but he was already proven years before that when Real Madrid fell asleep at the wheel after briefly flirting with a transfer for him after he shone brightly for both RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga and, most notably, Croatia on the international stage.

Gvardiol makes a lot of sense. He won't be cheap, but he is world class at both left back and center back, and goodness knows how badly the Royal Whites need help at these two dire positions of need.
