The squad has been in desperate need of a Toni Kroos style player ever since his retirement and have long had Rodri as their number one target. however they still have yet to make a move because of disagreements within the club. However, thankfully his World Cup campaign seems to have changed everything.

Florentino Perez was not fully convinced but things have quickly changed with the Spaniard now the top target in the eyes of the club president.

All signs point to Rodri ending up at the Bernabeu this summer but as we've seen before, nothing is for certain in the world of football. If any club in the world is capable of pulling off the unlikeliest of transfers it's Real Madrid, so fans should have some confidence in the club to have what it takes to get this deal over the line before the transfer window closes.
