England manager Thomas Tuchel believes that Jude Bellingham plays better football when he is angry. Bellingham was England's best player on the pitch against Spain in a 3-2 loss a few days ago, and Tuchel talked about the way Bellingham played and how he looks for moments to fuel his anger to be able to play better football.
He said, "I think it is better for Jude Bellingham to play with some anger. That is what he likes to do. I think sometimes he looks for those moments to ignite his fire."
It is not a bad claim at all. Bellingham has shown his competitive side in so many moments over the course of his career so far. Even at Real Madrid, there are so many games where he would elevate his performance after he either sees his team not playing well or has a misunderstanding with one of the opposition players.

It obviously doesn't happen every single time, but Bellingham knows how to get to the occasion. Bellingham knows not to let the occasion get the better of him. In fact, he fuels himself in a way that increases his level in these moments, and it is a brilliant trait to have.
Obviously, being angry can sometimes lead to hot-headed moments, but so far, Bellingham has not had that many of them. He likes to get involved with some of the opposition players and try to get into their heads, but also loves defending his teammates. He did that against Atletico Madrid. He was not going out without a fight in that match, and it just goes to show what a brilliant competitor Bellingham can be.
There will be times when his "anger" will get the better of him, but more often than not, Bellingham shows that he belongs to the top 1% of professional football players, that is when he plays with a mission in his head.
It will be interesting to see how these moments help him in the future, but so far, it goes to show that Bellingham is a fierce competitor. He will not stop, even if it is his club teammate or international teammate in front of him. In those 90 minutes, he just does not care about any of that. He wants to win, and he will try to do that no matter what. That ultimately is by far his best trait.
