Real Madrid are mostly focused on revamping their defense and midfield this summer transfer window after two straight seasons without a trophy, as incoming manager Jose Mourinho has rightfully identified as these areas being the main issues holding back the squad from truly competing at the highest level.

But Real Madrid could also use some upgrades in the front line. Florentino Perez is lining up a record bid for Michael Olise of Bayern Munich, the Ballon d'Or candidate on the right wing. A veteran backup striker for Kylian Mbappe is also a potential summer signing for the Merengues.

In order to sign someone new up front, though, Real Madrid will need to make a sale. Aside from Gonzalo Garcia spreading his wings elsewhere and Franco Mastantuono leaving on loan, Real Madrid could easily sell off Brahim Diaz, though the player does not want to exit.

Juventus want to sign a Real Madrid role player

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, via Madrid Xtra, Juventus have always been interested in Brahim and are continuing to push for the Morocco international. Juve manager Luciano Spalletti is reportedly insisting on signing the Real Madrid attacking midfielder and right winger this summer, and while Brahim wants to stay, if Jose Mourinho flat out tells him he is not in his plans, a transfer could be in order between Real and Juve.

In the past, Real Madrid and Juventus did a lot of business together. Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest profile player to have been at both clubs, but Gonzalo Higuain, Sami Khedira, Danilo, and others have been on both teams - with additional stops in between.

Brahim Diaz does not have the speed to be a true winger for Real Madrid, and the club already has a better attacking midfield playmaker in Arda Guler with his cultured left foot. But Brahim has been key in a rotational role at times, with his instincts and ambipedal nature allowing him to score some nifty goals and assists in tight spaces - and he always gives it his all despite his athletic limitations.

Juventus need players who are going to work hard for the badge and have end product and technical skill. Brahim was already a standout for rivals AC Milan in Serie A before heading back to Real Madrid and playing a niche role in the 2023/24 Champions League triumph, so it would make a ton of sense for the Bianconeri to sign him.
