Real Madrid fans don't need reminding of the El Clasico scoreline at the weekend. However, Vinicius Junior has made a bold claim which Madridistas will love.

Unfortunately, Real Madrid's unbeaten run has come to an end. They were handed a humiliating 4-0 defeat on home soil by Hansi Flick's Barcelona side.

So, Real Madrid fans are understandably dejected right now. It will take a while to recover from a scoreline as embarrassing as that, against the club's biggest arch rivals.

However, the important thing to note is that while it will definitely take time, Real Madrid will definitely recover. A club the size of Real Madrid cannot be defeated by one scoreline.

This is a message which has been echoed by Real Madrid fan favourite Vinicius Junior.

Vinicius Junior's bold claim after Real Madrid embarrassed in El Clasico

Speaking after the El Clasico defeat, Vinicius Junior made a bold claim which will be received well by Real Madrid fans. The Brazil international has claimed that Real Madrid is far too big to not bounce back.

In his own words, Vinicius Junior said: “We will come back, as always. are the biggest club and you know that”.

While it's a message which seems untimely, it is true. Despite the El Clasico humbling, nobody is humbled to the point of believing that Barcelona is bigger than Real Madrid. This is simply untrue.

El Clasico is the biggest fixture in the world for a reason. All eyes were on the fixture and unfortunately, this did not work in Real Madrid's favour.

However, Real Madrid will now be judged for their reaction to the result. They have a week to recover before the next match, where they must make a statement to show they are not out of the title race.

The result from the weekend cannot be changed. If Carlo Ancelotti had a time machine, he would probably not choose to alter the scoreline. This is the type of character he is, as he'll see it as a learning curve which could benefit Real Madrid more in the long-run.

At this point, Real Madrid fans are resorting to thought processes such as this. Of course, it would have been preferable to not lose El Clasico, let alone in the way it panned out. However, these are the cards which Real Madrid are dealt, so now they must think ahead to improve their card deck.
