Why Real Madrid may replace Andriy Lunin with Spain's most promising goalkeeper

Andriy Lunin has been a good goalkeeper for Real Madrid so far. He has served with the best of his abilities in times of crisis and been a solid man between the posts for almost the entirety of his time at the club.

In my opinion, he is so good that he does not deserve to be a back-up goalkeeper anymore. But it is only his bad luck that Los Blancos have the best goalkeeper in the world as their first choice. Thibaut Courtois, despite his age, is too good to be replaced yet.

The future of Lunin is bright but with a caveat. He needs to find regular minutes to solidify his name. He is good, but not as much. He is reliable, but not as much.

And both of these issues will only be solved when he starts getting the minutes he so direly needs. And it does not seem that it will happen at Real Madrid anytime soon.

Andriy Lunin has offers from many clubs and Real Madrid may replace him soon

Lunin's current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2029. But it is largely implausible that the player will stay so long if he continues to be denied the minutes he needs.

As per a story by Marca, the Ukrainian goalkeeper has received many offers from some of the top clubs in Europe, and he has not stayed quiet about it.

Jorge Mendes, Lunin's agent, met with Real Madrid officials a few days ago to discuss the player's various offers and maybe his future with the club. This, in turn, triggered red flags among Los Blancos management, who now regard the situation as doubtful, and the idea of Lunin departing appears more legitimate and genuine than ever before.

As a result, Real Madrid has entered the competition to sign star Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who has already piqued the interest of some of Europe's top teams. Real Madrid remained cool about the issue, but the Lunin drama has hurried things up, and the club now looks to be seriously examining its options.

As per Marca, the goalkeeper has a release clause of 25 million euros. He has so far attracted solid interest from Real Madrid and Aston Villa.
