The club did not like it, and the coach did not like it, which is why he was left out of the squad as punishment against Alcorcon.
If you don't know, Castero is one of the most highly rated players that Castilla have at the moment. He is a really good central defensive midfielder who has shown a lot of promise while playing for Castilla.
He also had a few minutes for the first team under Alvaro Arbeloa last season, and even though he wasn't that impressive in that game, he still showed some glimpses of the talent that he has. He is no Chema Andres when it comes to ability and control, but he is still a very talented midfielder, and judging by the report, he probably knows that as well.

These are the little things that make or break a player's footballing career at times. Castero is a good player, but he is in no position to already have a huge ego problem. He is still playing for Castilla, and if he wants to make the jump to either the first team or any other top-level team in Europe, he would need to put his head down and accept the manager's decisions as they come. If he's already having these sorts of problems while playing for a reserve team, things will probably be worse when he starts playing for a top-level team.
Cestero probably isn't talented enough to warrant a role in Madrid's first team, but regardless of that, wherever he goes, if he does not work on this problem, it will continue to bite him. It is a good thing that Real Madrid have put this punishment on Cestero.
There is a clear attitude problem in many of the players in the first team, but it is also translating to Castilla, which is exactly why they need to keep working on this so that it doesn't develop into something more.
Real Madrid need to keep doing the same thing for every single player on the team, whether it is a senior player or a first-team player, and only then will these problems go away. Obviously, in the heat of the moment, players can be angry at substitutions from their managers, but to go into the dressing room and make his feelings known to the rest of the team is a bit strange.
Real Madrid have done well to set an example of how these players will be punished if they do something like this again. Hopefully, that also translates to the first team, because from what people can see, from what people can see in the last couple of years, there's a lot of leniency there.
