Zinedine Zidane has been speaking to the media about finally taking on the France role - It was a job that was a long time coming, and let's be realistic, it was only ever going to be Zizou who took the role.
Not just because of his past, Real Madrid fans should pay close attention to how Zidane operates with France. Their superstar, Kylian Mbappe, could elevate his game to new levels working under both Jose Mourinho and Zidane, two of the best coaches of all-time.
Zinedine Zidane has praised Kylian Mbappe's tactical versatility. The French boss said that Mbappe could play anywhere in a front three, but that his favourite position for Mbappe could be on the left wing.

"Kylian Mbappe is capable of playing in all 3 positions in attack," said Zidane. "Personally, I really like him as a left winger.”
To be truthful, Mbappe's best position is out on the left. Real Madrid could do with exploiting this strength of his, and the floodgates might already be opening with Carlos Espi bursting onto the scene lately. Of course, though, it will take many more great cameos before space opens up for him in the starting lineup.
Real Madrid haven't played Mbappe out on the left enough. Almost exclusively, he starts in the middle of the front line, but throughout the game, he does drift out of centre to pick up the ball on either flank.
And look, many would argue that we shouldn't try to fix what's not broken. Mbappe is one of the best players in the world, and he's keeping that tag alive through the centre of attack. He also scores more than enough goals for Real Madrid, so he does a frankly stellar job through the middle.
However, that's not to say that he can't do more. He shouldn't be expected to do more, but he always wants to, and this experiment with France is one that should seriously raise the eyebrows of those at Real Madrid.
Mbappe is best positioned when he plays on the right with a centre forward who is capable of dropping deep to link up play. We might see that with France in the international break.
Of the bunch of players selected by Zizou, Ousmane Dembele is best placed to link up with the wingers in a false-nine type of role.
At this stage, nobody knows how Zinedine Zidane will attack. He's been out of a coaching role for a long time, so he's probably been playing out different scenarios in his head while he prepares.
However, one thing we can say for sure is that he will elevate this French team. Mbappe will only benefit from playing under one of his heroes, no matter which role he's asked to play.
