Casemiro: 5/10 – Casemiro did his job for the most part and broke up Girona attacks on a number occasions in the first half. He perhaps could have done more to stop the attacker leading up to Girona’s first goal. His performance suffered from being moved center back midway through the second half.

Toni Kroos: 6/10 – Madrid completely lacked control in midfield and that falls at the feet of our midfield duo. Kroos seemed off the whole match and could not dictate the game like he normally does. A disappointing showing from Toni.

Luka Modric: 6/10 – Like Kroos, Modric was poor overall. His passes lacked their usual precision and he became more of a passenger as the game went on.
