Real Madrid will be giving back to the community once again as they announced a charity match to be played this summer. The ninth edition of the match will pit the Real Madrid legends against the Arsenal legends. Here’s a look at when it will take place.

Aside from filling up the trophy cabinets and displays at the Santiago Bernabèu, Real Madrid will be looking to fill the hearts and souls of children once again. It is now the ninth edition of the Corazón Classic Match, a charitable game played with the proceeds aimed at helping children in need. The match has been organized by the Real Madrid Foundation and will take place at the Bernabéu on June 3, 2018.

In attendance at the media release of the event was President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, and Director of Business Development for Arsenal, Peter Silverstone. Along with many other directors and staff from both clubs, stars from Madrid and Arsenal were present. Some notable stars include Raul, Guti, Solares, and Morientes some of whom will feature in the match on June 3.

President Florentino Perez spoke to the press touching on the meaning of the event and its positive impact on the community.

"“A highly emotional event which we celebrate every season. Real Madrid and Arsenal are going to star in the Corazón Classic Match 2018,  Fútbol por la infancia, where the proceeds will go to Real Madrid Foundation projects that are aimed at children who need it most, the most vulnerable.”"

Florentino continued on to mention how the game of football can bring about positive and meaningful change to the lives of children who are less fortunate. Perez shared his passion for bringing about positive change saying, “Children are the future and represent the hope of any society. They must be protected and looked after in all circumstances and that responsibility also falls on us.”

Peter Silverstone added to the sentiments expressed by Perez with the following:

"“It’s a pleasure to be here, in this fantastic stadium, to announce this friendly match. It will be an opportunity for fans of both teams to relive some of the great moments in the history of their clubs. We are very excited. These matches will leave a very good legacy. It’s a privilege to support them.”"

This initiative once again shows the true values that are held by this great club both on and off the pitch. The work that is being done not only helps children in Madrid, but those around the world.
