Real Madrid has decided that Eden Hazard is not worth the €200 million asking price from Chelsea and will no longer pursue the Belgian international. The team need not worry because they have Isco playing some of his best football right now.

The hunt is over says Diario AS. President Florentino Perez and the Real Madrid board will no longer try to pursue Hazard and will give Isco a key role in the team this season. After reports emerged that the Belgian had agreed to personal terms with Los Blancos, the defending Champions League winners no longer are prioritizing his transfer this summer.

After working with the Andalusian with the Spanish national team for the last couple years, new Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui has complete faith in his ability to be a star player in the team.

Lopetegui did a wonderful job putting Isco in a position where he could succeed. He scored a hat-trick in his home stadium against Argentina back in March and said after the match, “In the national team I’ve got the coach’s confidence.”

While Hazard was felt by many Madridistas to be a suitable replacement to Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, others, like myself, feel that Marco Asensio or Isco can fill into that role capably. This team has been built from the bottom to top by great transfer deal after great transfer deal.

Recently, we have a seen a move away from the ‘Galactico’ style of signings and more signings of young players who will one day become a superstar at the club.

Isco is one example of this style. He was signed back in 2013 from Malaga and had to wait a couple seasons before becoming a staple of the squad. But, from last season on, he has been a key player in helping build-up the attack and linking the lines together.

Now, combining the 26-year-old’s impressive form with the manager who used him in all the right positions and ways with the national teams spells even more success this coming season. I am a huge fan of Isco and what he is able to do on and off the ball.

While I think Eden Hazard would improve the team – he is, of course, a world-class player – signing him is not a huge deal. Real Madrid has so many talented players already they can compensate for not adding him to the team.

Next. Real Madrid: Karim Benzema wants to make a big impact this season. dark

Marco Asensio should have a big year, Karim Benzema is desperate to step up and show that he is still one of the best strikers in the world, and Gareth Bale will have more responsibility fall on his shoulders.

No Hazard, no problem. Isco is bound to have a great year under Lopetegui.
