Undefeated and sitting just two points behind first place in the Second Division B Group I, the Real Madrid Castilla side is off to a phenomenal start this season. Here is a closer look at how the team has performed and some of the standout players thus far.

Manager Santiago Solari has his youth side firing on all cylinders early in this season. The Los Blancos youth team is known for growing world-class talent that fits in nicely with the first team.

That is no different this season as Solari has plenty of options for players to rotate through the starting XI. Through six games, the Castilla team is 4-2-0 with a league-high 12 goals and plus-eight goal differential.

They have allowed just four goals thus far as Mora has shown his worth to the club with the way he has been performing. It helps when Javí Sanchez and Adrian de la Fuente are helping on both ends of the field.

Solari has seen seven players score the 12 goals thus far with the leader being the newcomer, Vinícius Júnior, who is simply too good to be playing for the youth team in a lower Spanish division.

Vinicius has bagged three goals, including a brace in mid-September. After making his first-team debut in the Madrid Derby over the weekend, the future is certainly bright for the speedy Brazilian winger.

Sergio Reguillon, another Castilla product who has worked with the team this season, made his first-team debut last night against CSKA Moscow in the 1-0 defeat. Reguillon filled in admirably for the injured Marcelo as he played the full 90 minutes.

Since Vinícius’ stunning performance against Unionistas, Castilla has won three straight, outscoring their opponents 8-2 while tallying at least two goals in each of the matches.

Four players lag one goal behind Júnior for the most on the team with Seoane, Feuillassier Dani Gómez, and Cristo all finding the back of the net twice. This amount of goals from different players has certainly made Solari’s job a bit easier and he will be relaying everything he sees from his young players to the first-team boss, Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui is in favor of both Vinícius and Reguillon and he could start to mix in more of these Castilla players if the opportunity presents itself.
