The saga at Real Madrid between Isco and Solari continues as the player and managers relationship is continuing to worsen by the week. This week both have seemed to indirectly fire verbal barbs at each other.

Isco is unhappy with his current situation at Real Madrid as the player is seeing minimal action so far this season. The Spaniard is now officially the player with the most time spent on the bench in the entirety of La Liga.

Isco currently is 21st in minutes seen on the pitch, the only players behind him? Mariano Diaz and Jesus Vallejo, both of whom were injured for two months and Brahim Diaz who is 19 and was only signed last month. This paints quite the picture about how out of favour Isco is seeing himself.

Whilst people worldwide have gone back and forth on the matter as to why it has happened, it certainly seems that there is more to the story than what meets the eye. Whether Isco has done something too upset the manager or Solari simply doesn’t feel he is good enough is up for debate.

However, now Isco has come out and spoke publicly via social media. In a tweet on Twitter, the midfielder said:

This translates to: “I totally agree with De la Red, but things change when you do not enjoy the same opportunities as your teammates, I still keep working and fighting hard, waiting for the opportunities! Hala Madrid!!”

It is clear that the situation is affecting the player and that he feels he is not being given a fair shake. Despite being voted as one of the players most desired to start in the Clasico, he watched on from the bench without even being subbed in.

What has made things worse for the player is his recent back injury in training which has prevented him from being part of the squad for the Atletico Madrid clash this weekend.

Solari has taken note of what the player has said and clapped back with a response of his own: “A professional footballer’s job is to work and to train at 100 percent to be of service to the team.” The manager was then asked about his thoughts on what Isco said in his tweet to which he simply shrugged and said “well…”

The player and the manager are clearly at odds with each other. With Real Madrid undergoing a crucial run of matches, which kicked off with the recent Clasico, now will show whether Solari really needs Isco and whether or not he has a future at the club, time will tell, however, according to reports, he isn’t short of suitors.
