Second Half

The bad blood between these two teams continued to boil as the second half of the match resumed. Real Madrid and Barcelona continue to take cheap shots at one another with 39 fouls committed between the two teams.

Santiago Solari opted to switch things up using all three of his substitutions, some of them raising the eyebrows of many. Despite his personnel shuffles though he wasn’t able to effect much change.

Madrid ran hard at the Blaugrana but to no avail. Often times the forward line took too many touches missing the window of opportunity to put one past Marc Andre Ter Stegen. That being said, the German goalie was in exemplary form.

A scoreless second half would see Barcelona return home with all three points and a 12 point gap. The league is still mathematically possible but seemingly more out of reach after today’s loss.
