Reports: Sergio Ramos demands to exit Real Madrid for China

Last summer, Madridista’s were left shocked as Cristiano Ronaldo departed for Juventus. It seems that this summer, they could be faced with more heart-ache as reports have suggested Sergio Ramos has asked to leave Real Madrid.
COPE broke the news that Sergio Ramos has grown tired at Real Madrid and has decided he wants to depart. The Spanish international has reportedly been sent an ‘astronomical’ offer from an unknown Chinese club.
The teams captain, who has been a part of the club since 2005, has reportedly seen his relationship with Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez completely collapse. The pair have clashed in the past and the World Cup winner has told Perez he is “tired and fed up.”
COPE has reported the defender has two offers that he is considering. The player feels he’s never seriously considered departing from Spain before and expects the club to honour his wishes. The player feels he has given all he can to the club during his stint that has lasted over a decade.
Despite initial reports of Ramos seeking a contract extension, many felt this may have been a negotiation tactic – similarly to 2015 when he was linked with Manchester United before extending his deal. Despite his unhappiness, Ramos enjoys a fantastic relationship with current coach, Zinedine Zidane, who returned to the club earlier this year.
The Frenchman is understood to be outside of the drama between the captain and the president. Ramos is also reportedly unhappy with some of the decisions made at the club, including the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer. The player reportedly warned the club against this move as it would result in the club struggling to replace him.
Ramos and Perez have spoken, according to a recent interview from Florentino. Despite the president stating the conversation was cordial, he confirmed that Sergio indeed came to the office with offers from China. Perez stated that Madrid could not let him go on a free.
Should Ramos decide to depart the club this summer, the decision will be met serious devastation across the Real Madrid fanbase. With 14 years at the club and some incredible moments and contributions, Ramos is a Real Madrid legend and a huge figure in the dressing room.
