Vinicius Jr.

6 goals, 2 assists

Nobody can be sure how many minutes Vinicius Jr. will get, but at one point last season, he looked like like either Real’s best or second-best player along with Benzema. Vinicius has the potential to be the best player in La Liga one day, because it’s remarkable how incisive he looked as a mere 19-year-old last season.

Hopefully, Zidane will give Vinicius plenty of chances this season, even with Hazard joining the fray and Bale set to have a much better 2019-2020 campaign. Zidane’s proclivity towards starting Lucas Vazquez will mean that Vinicius may not get as many chances as he deserves, but it also seems like the manager values Vinicius as highly as Real’s upper brass.

This should be another strong season from Vinicius, who will continue to make the most out of the chances he’s afforded.

Toni Kroos

1 goal, 5 assists

The German center midfielder is critical to Real’s 2019-2020 success, and he’ll need to be significantly better this season than he was last year. Kroos has already righted the ship through the season’s first three games, showing off the range of passing that made him one of the world’s most highly-regarded midfielders.

Defensively, Kroos is weak, and he’s not going to provide much in the form of goals despite his technical ability. He isn’t even a major source of assists. Most of the production he’ll provide will be observed in deeper analytics, but Kroos will still provide key assists.

Luka Modric

2 goals, 6 assists

Real Madrid fans will also hope for a bounce-back season from Luka Modric, who won the Ballon d’Or for his 2018. Modric, like Kroos, does more passing and dirty work offensively than directly scores goals or assists, as he’s never had more than three goals or six assists in a single La Liga campaign. Interestingly enough, he hit both marks last season, which turned out to be his weakest in a Real shirt.
