Casemiro highlights his importance…again!

Real Madrid’s Brazilian destroyer, Casemiro has been unbelievable this season. One could easily argue that the midfielder has been the most important player for Zinedine Zidane in 2019/20. His presence has become undeniable and indispensable for the side and the statistics back it up.

No midfielder in the top 5 European leagues is making more interceptions than Casemiro and in La Liga? No midfielder is making more recoveries of the ball than the Brazilian. On top of his superb defensive work, he is contributing effectively on the ball too. He has contributed to four assists and has scored 4 goals in all competitions.

As seen in midweek, when the Brazilian is unavailable, Real Madrid struggle in the midfield. His defensive presence has become quite literally irreplaceable at this point. His influence has been a huge factor to Real having their best defensive campaign in history so far, as well as being the tightest defence in Europe. Casemiro is undeniably the best in the world in his position right now.
