4. Kroos Olympic goal

Toni Kroos is the best center midfielder in the world right now. His importance to the team cannot be understated. After a below-average 2018-19 season, he has bounced back tremendously and led the midfield for the Whites.

And nothing proves it more than this goal from Kroos in the Spanish super cup. In the game against Valencia in the semi-finals, Kroos went over to take a corner when he noticed that the Valencia keeper was off his line and trying to organize his defense. Kroos acted immediately and shot the ball directly into the goal. The goalkeeper noticed it too late and could only intervene when the ball was already past the goal line.

It was a beautiful goal, an Olympic goal as it is called by the football world. It was the first such goal scored by a Real Madrid player since Davor Suker scored one in a league match against Merida on December 14, 1997. Kroos had made a similar attempt earlier in the season vs PSG only for Keylor Navas to save it at the last attempt.

This goal put Real Madrid ahead and helped them dominate the rest of the game, with Isco and Luka Modric scoring, later on, to help secure a spot in the final of the Spanish super cup.
