ST Erling Haaland

Real Madrid need goals above anything else on the transfer market, which is part of the reason why sensational PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, who can basically average a goal per game, has always been their top target. As a wide forward, it doesn’t get much better than Mbappe in the scoring department for sure.

However, while Mbappe is still unquestionably the most valuable player in the world, he may have been usurped by Erling Braut Haaland as the best goal-scorer.

The ridiculously strong Haaland is one of the most clinical finishers in Europe already at the age of 19, and he actually elevated his game from RB Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund. A patient player who values playing time and his own personal growth, Haaland will likely wait before requesting a move to Real Madrid, but the Mino Raiola client seems like an ideal successor for Karim Benzema.

And yes, Real should be dreaming of a front three featuring Vinicius Junior, Mbappe, and Haaland one day, since all three players have co-existing skill-sets.

Haaland scored nine goals in only 512 Bundesliga minutes last season for BVB. He’s so prolific that it’s easy to forget he’s still a growing prospect at 19, yet that’s also partially why he’s such an appealing transfer target for Los Blancos. He can only get even better from here.
