Lyon center midfielder Houssem Aouar will most likely move teams this summer, since the Ligue 1 side, unlike Rennes, failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League despite their copious amount of attacking talent.

Houssem Aoaur isn’t the biggest prospect in Lyon – that would be Real-linked forward Rayan Cherki – but he also has world-class potential and is already a key player for the club.

Last season, Aouar scored three goals with four assists in Ligue 1, completing over 85 percent of his passes, per WhoScored.com. The 21-year-old France international can play at a variety of positions, as he also has versatility on the left or as an attacking midfielder.

Aouar will probably be as expensive as Eduardo Camavinga, but he should be easier for Real Madrid to land. He isn’t as big of a priority to fill a team need, but with his talent and versatility, he could be an even better fit for the club than Ajax’s Donny van de Beek.

A dynamic dribbler, Aouar, per WhoScored.com, completed a whopping 4.2 dribbles per game in the 2019-2020 Champions League with 2.6 fouls drawn. He also won 2.6 dribbles per game and drew 1.7 fouls per game in Ligue 1, so he could bring magic to the Bernabeu midfield.
