4. Toni Kroos vs Celta de Vigo

Toni Kroos has been in great form for the Whites this season. The German midfielder has scored five goals and has provided eight assists this season.

One of those goals was the stunner against Celta de Vigo on matchday one of La Liga. After going up 0-1 and a man down after a red card to Modric, Los Blancos were controlling the game quite well with intricate passing moves.

One of those passing moves led to space opening up for Kroos to take a shot from around 40 yards out. Kroos took the chance and let loose a rocket that bounced off the crossbar and went in leaving the goalkeeper no chance.

The goal ensured that Madrid would leave Vigo with all three points.

3. Luka Modric vs Granada

Real Madrid’s midfielders have been on a roll this season. There were calls from a lot of the fanbase for the midfield to score a lot more to cover for the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The midfield this season has definitely pitched in with the end product.

This time it was Luka Modric’s turn to score a long-range screamer. Modric received a cutback from Eden Hazard a bit outside the box and let loose a venomous shot that went straight to the top left corner. The goal was described as “a heat-seeking missile” by Ray Hudson in the commentary.

It was a powerful, typical goal from Luka Modric who scores these types of goals quite a lot. This one takes the third spot in the top five list.
