Alaves CB Rodrigo Ely

There aren’t many players under the age of 30 who would interest Real Madrid, but center back Rodrigo Ely is worth praising. Deportivo Alaves are a tough team to face, especially when traveling on the road to the Mendizorroza. Los Blancos can certainly attest to this.

Ely, per WhoScored.com, averaged 1.4 interceptions per game and nearly five clearances per game for Alaves last season. The 26-year-old Brazilian is always willing to put his body on the line and puts his height to good use.

Real Valladolid CB Mohammed Salisu

One of the best center backs in La Liga, Mohammed Salisu has a 12 million euro release clause and is thus the best bargain option available at the center back position for Real Madrid. Since Los Blancos will probably want another backup center back alongside Eder Militao to replace Nacho Fernandez, Salisu could be a great signing.

The 21-year-old Ghana international has impressed fans around Spain over the 2019-2020 season and is squarely on the radar of Madridistas. He’s looked solid against Madrid in head-to-head competition, showing great intelligence and physicality, especially in the air.

Salisu is a difficult defender to beat. WhoScored.com had him credited with a combined 2.5 tackles and interceptions per game last year.
