Dani Carvajal

This might seem like an odd selection but let’s be real, Dani hasn’t been his best self for a couple of seasons now. Alvaro Odriozola came in but he couldn’t hack it either and was shipped off to Bayern Munich.

That doesn’t mean the fire is out, though.

Real Madrid has another prospect in the Bundesliga – Achraf Hakimi – who is waiting in the wings to take his spot as a starter at fullback.

The Moroccan international has been tearing up the German league during his time with Borussia Dortmund and reports suggest that Hakimi will return to Madrid this summer and give Carvajal a run for his money.

The remainder of this season is Carvajal’s best chance at holding on to the number one spot and staying in the good graces of the decision-makers at Real Madrid.

Achraf has shown his worth for a top club in one of Europe’s best leagues, there’s no reason why that standard can’t be replicated in La Liga.
